I don't know about you all, but Prince of Persia has always been one of my favorites games and the first time I played the Sands of Time years ago I was just blown away. Finally with a new release, The Forgotten Sands, I'll be able to enjoy this greatness once more. Unfortunately I bought "Prince of Persia" thinking it was going to be somewhat similar to this trilogy.

Is it just me or has the Prince of Persia series been pimped out like a whore? A good whore but a whore none the less. How many Prince of Persia games have been release in the last 5 years or so?

The games have never really been about originality, when playing you pretty much always know what's coming ahead - it's just a good game. It does get kind of old though, it's not like you're excited for the same basic acrobatic moves to get around but I think it's fun anyway.
It's just one of those "must-have" games if you like Prince of Persia. Like I said, I bought the actual Prince of Persia game just because it looked different and had that title... nothing more.

True, true.
Warrior Withing was my favourite.
Its a good enough series but i was GREATLY dispointed with two thrones.
i found the sandy- alter ego annoying and the battle system though quite cool and exciting button bashing combos.
But the enemies werent that great.
and sand-forms sequences jsut drove me insane.
but this games looks like its getting back in touch with original, so i might give this one a shot.
