| About Us We are Dark PerFectioN (DPFN for short). We're a group of players who have, over the years, created a friendly environment to experience all that is Halo. From the original, to the new and glorious Halo: Reach, we love 'em all! The clan was founded in late 2007 by One PerFectioN, and has grown exponentially since, thanks, in part, to several Bungie Group Spotlights. We are always looking for more members to help us reach the top - from any skill level! For the competitive gamer, you can join our regular Clan Battles, friendly games against other clans, or our more serious GameBattles - official, ranked games by Major League Gaming. All you have to do is show us your stats, and prove you can work in a team-driven environment! For the tactical gamer, why not join in on our clan practice sessions to build up your game? Or even our Recon team, whose reports on other clans help us prepare for upcoming games - arguably the most important responsibility on the site. If you're not that into playing, or tactics, you can always just join to make use of the discussion forums, to talk about anything from sport to music, as well as, of course, games across all platforms. We are not just a clan concentrated only on the Halo franchise, but actually almost any game you can think of; we are always looking to expand! So why not join Dark PerFectioN today? Become a part of one Halo's friendliest and fastest-growing clans. Our culture Our culture is one of friendship and teamwork. We respect the privacy and opinions of all players, and we try to keep the vulgar talk to a minimum. We encourage open communication and take seriously our goal to provide a safe and comfortable environment. We have our serious moments, but ultimately we are here to have fun. DPFN's focus DPFN is focused on its members. For instance, if you'd like to join in on a clan battle we expect you to speak up so that we can invite you. If you would like to join a practice session, we expect you to speak up. If you'd like to form your own practice sessions or activities, we expect you to tell us when you need help to pull that off. However, if you're looking for a quiet place to play some social, or fiddle around in Forge World, we will leave you to it (unless you want some help -- just ask! Forge World is big enough for the both of us). Ultimately, our focus is on you, and we need your help to provide the best experience possible. Our activities Events in DPFN range from easy to enter contests to crazy 8v8 matches. Any member may schedule an event for the community to take part in. Our members try their best to host events for everyone to enjoy. Everything from map creation contests to clan-wide tournaments. No idea is too small or too big - we'll give it a try. If Halo just isn't your thing, we also enjoy other games (like "normal" people) too. |

Biography:
Upon joining Dark PerFectioN after seeing the clan advertised in the Bungie Classifieds, Dwarf quickly became a name amongst the clan for his 'battle journalism', watching clan matches, then writing up what happened - often using big words to make himself look clever.
Using his 'talent' (or, as he more aptly puts it, 'babe turn-off superpower') for coding and web... stuff, Dwarf offered to help PerFectioN move the site from its subdomain (dpfn.geekscience.org) to the full-fledge domain it now sits upon. He offered his services, however, for a deadly price... This charge was later dropped.
Next, he turned his attention once again to 'fixing things that ain't broke', posting that the previously held system of choosing DPFN Elite members was flawed, offering instead to design a 'ladder system' for members of the clan to fight for the top spots. He claimed this would take "not much more than a weekend". A month later, it was completed.
Dwarf still continues to grapple with DarkPerFectioN.org's grumpy hosts, as well as addressing any technical queries members have with the website. He also constantly seeks to improve the clan, by means of ideas like this, the staff biographies, as well as being the main writer of anything official - such as the main page.
Dwarf was voted DPFN's Most Valuable Player for April 2008.

Biography:
General Gonzo has been playing games all of his life. Some of his earliest memories are of Wolfenstein 3D on his brother's PC and Mario Tennis on the Virtual Boy. The time between these early days and today was spent obsessively playing Battlefield 1942, eventually being in the top 300 out of millions of players. One day, he decided to pick up a newer, fresher game called Halo: Combat Evolved. He has been hooked ever since. Unfortunately, due to living in the middle of nowhere, he was unable to get a fast enough connection for Xbox LIVE until just after Halo 3 came out. A couple months of lonesome playing later, Gonzo decided to join a clan to meet and play with new people. After wandering the Classifieds on Bungie.net, he eventually found One's post about Dark PerFectioN and looked into it. The rest is history.
Gonzo started off well, making friends with people, coming to practices, and even designing the clan's emblem. He has fought in many of DPFN's conflicts, and proudly claims the title of Dark PerFectioN's first casualty in a clan battle. He has become known around the forums for his flashy and unusual sigs, something which he is very proud of. (Don't touch them) When asked where he gets some of his pictures, he will truthfully tell you that he does not know. He was made a moderator in early June due to an increase in members and a loss of another moderator.
Gonzo leads an active life. He is the second-in-command cadet in his Civil Air Patrol squadron, captain of his swim team, pole vaulter for his track team, and president of his school's Key Club. He plans to go to the United States Air Force Academy after graduating from high school and becoming a pilot in the Air Force. He wants to major in astronautical engineering.
